Medtronic received information regarding a navigation system used during a functional endoscopic sinus surgery (fess) procedure. It was reported that they were unable to continue past the registration page in the software. They tried using a different patient and it was still unresponsive at the registration screen, after going into various other screens it allowed them to continue past the registration screen. There was a delay of less than 1 hour. No patient impact was correlated with this event.
