It was reported to boston scientific corporation that a hurricane rx dilation balloon was used in a procedure performed on (b)(6) 2020. According to the complainant, during the procedure, the balloon inflated successfully on the first attempt. However, on the second attempt, the balloon ruptured. It was determined that the dilation performed thus far was sufficient, and the procedure was completed. There were no patient complications reported as a result of the event. The patient condition at the conclusion of the procedure was reported as "no problem".
