VETERINARY INDICATIONS SECTION
SUGGESTED USE:
As an aid in the adsorption of toxins in dogs, cats and other animals.
In all cases of suspected poisoning consult your veterinarian for complete diagnosis and specific treatment.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION SECTION
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Give orally 10 to 20 mL per kg body weight (5 to 10 mL per lb) by causing the animal to consume the calculated quantity. The product may be given as is or mixed with a small amount of cold water. Consult a veterinarian about delivery by stomach tube if needed.
PRECAUTIONS SECTION
CAUTION:
Activated Charcoal Suspension should not be given in conjunction with oral medications as the charcoal may adsorb the therapeutic agent. Maintain patient hydration. Monitor for 4 hours after use for signs of hypernatremia (ataxia, tremors, seizures).
NOTE:
If catharsis is indicated, Activated Charcoal Suspension with Sorbitol should be used initially. Tests for ethylene glycol must be conducted before Activated Charcoal Suspension is given to prevent false positive reactions.

Each mL of Activated Charcoal Suspension can adsorb at least 55 mg strychnine sulfate.
