Body fluid tensiometer

Definition
A mains electricity (AC-powered) laboratory instrument intended to be used to measure the surface and interfacial tension in liquids, i.e., the force required to break the bonds between the liquid and gaseous phases. It is used for measuring the tension of body fluids (e.g., eye mucus) and of pharmaceuticals to estimate the amount of substance that must be added to a body fluid in order to change its tension.
