Bone access cannula stylet
- Definition
- A thin metal rod intended to be inserted within the lumen of a bone access cannula (not included) to increase stiffness sufficiently to facilitate introduction into a bone during a procedure (e.g., bone biopsy, bone marrow aspiration, administration of therapeutic agents or materials). It is intended to be removed during the use of the cannula. This is a single-use device.
