Clip forceps
- Definition
- A small scissors-like, or tweezers-like, surgical instrument with a spring catch, used to hold a bleeding vessel. In the scissors-like form, the spring opens the forceps when pressure on the handle is released. In the tweezers-like form, the spring closes the forceps when pressure on the blades is released. This is a reusable device.
