Double-ended access spike

Definition
A small, noninvasive, tubular connecting device with a hollow spike (either blunt or sharp) at both ends intended to connect an intravenous (IV) fluid or blood bag to a fluid line for administration to a patient; it does not include a tubing (i.e., not a tubing set). This is a single-use device.
