Electroencephalographic simulator

Definition
An instrument that electronically produces artificial physiological signals or replays digitally recorded patient data to perform rapid testing, simulating that of an electroencephalograph (EEG) recorder or monitor. It is used at a clinical site to assist the staff in checking patient lead continuity and alarm functions of EEG devices. The device may also be used to train healthcare personnel to recognize a variety of physiological waveforms.
