Enteral feeding pole

Definition
A freestanding pole with an elevated hook intended to enable an enteral feeding container, and associated tubing, to be suspended for the delivery of nutrient fluids to a patient; it is not intended for intravenous (IV) fluid administration. It may be of tabletop or floor-standing design, and may allow for an enteral feeding pump to be attached for powered, rate-controlled feeding. It is intended for use in the home and healthcare facility.
