Hamper
- Definition
- A device designed as a container used for the temporary collection and storage of used disposable products and/or dirty laundry. It typically consists of a ventilated basket (e.g., wicker, moulded plastic) with a cover and will have an internal disposable liner (e.g., a dedicated plastic bag) to keep the hamper from being soiled and facilitate the removal of the contents. The device will typically be fitted with wheels (castors) for easy movement.
