Microbial identification interpretive software

Definition
An application software program intended to be used to identify microbial species (bacterial, fungal) using results from microbial cultures and laboratory biochemical tests. Results from an in vitro diagnostic medical device (IVD) are input and the name(s), and reliability of possible microbial species returned. It is intended for use in a microbiology laboratory.
