A fixed-location, electrically-powered device used to create and deliver ozone (O3) or ozonated water, from air, oxygen (O2) feed gas, or potable water. It typically utilizes an electrical discharge method for air or oxygen conversion, or an electrolysis method for water ozonation and usually includes measuring devices to determine output O3 concentration, and a mechanism to destroy internally the unused ozone. It is typically used at or near the site of application or various cleaning and disinfection purposes e.g., to disinfect/purify air and water, dental appliances, personal and/or oral hygiene and in some clinical treatment of diseases.
