Scleral incision positioning frame

Definition
An invasive ophthalmic surgical device intended to be temporarily attached to the surface of the eye in a predetermined position to function as a physical reference for the creation of scleral incisions/tunnels prior to implantation of scleral expansion implants. It is a contoured frame designed to be attached to the eye with, e.g., sharp corkscrew-like components, and intended to stay in place during the subsequent scleral incisions, which is typically performed with a sclerotome. This is a reusable device intended to be sterilized prior to use.
