Sliding microtome IVD

Definition
A precision cutting instrument intended to be used to cut tissue sections, fixed in celloidin, into thin slices for subsequent in vitro diagnostic analysis. It has a horizontally-fixed knife which cuts across the fixed tissue section. It may in addition be used to cut paraffin wax embedded sections.
