Surgical traction tensiometer, electronic

Definition
An electronic instrument intended to be used to measure the pulling force (traction) applied to a body part (e.g., leg), typically during an orthopaedic surgical procedure. It is connected to a surgical traction tensioner, or to a counter-traction post (e.g., perineal post) which contains attached strain gauges whereby the traction being pulled is measured and displayed by the device.
