The SPOT device is intended to provide healthcare professionals with a tool to document, track, and monitor chronic wounds which will aid in wound care management.
An application software program intended to facilitate monitoring and management of a wound during the healing process, based primarily on digital images of the wound taken using an off-the-shelf device with an integrated camera (e.g., smartphone, tablet). Once installed on a device with a built-in camera, the software enables wound area measurements to be taken, wound history to be reviewed, treatments to be recorded, and data shared to support decision making.
