The Hominis® Surgical System is a robotic-assisted device intended for use by laparoscopic trained physicians for endoscopic manipulation of tissue, using graspers and electrosurgery devices during single-site laparoscopic gynecologic procedures such as benign hysterectomy and salpingo-oophorectomy through a transvaginal access point. The system comprises Hominis Surgeon Console, two sterile instruments (Hominis ARMS®), bed-mounted Robotic Control Unit (RCU) and Hominis System Accessories (Unit cables, Sterile Drapes, Robotic Control Unit Support System (RCUSS) and Vaginal Access Kit). The power cable connects the Hominis Surgeon Console to the main supply.
An insulated electrical cord designed to enable connection of a medical device to a mains electricity supply socket, with a male and a female connector (plug) at either end. It is manufactured to medical grade standards for use in healthcare facilities and the home, providing the required legislative level of electrical safety; it may include an adaptor/transformer. This is a reusable device.
