A cartridge/card or a collection of reagents and other associated materials intended to be used in the laboratory/point-of-care for the qualitative and/or (semi-)quantitative detection of multiple chemical and/or biological markers to help differentiate bacterial from viral infection in a clinical specimen within a short period, relative to standard laboratory testing procedures, using a chemiluminescent immunoassay method. Analytes assayed may include C-reactive protein (CRP), myxovirus resistance protein 1 (MxA), tumour necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL), and interferon-gamma-induced protein-10 (IP-10). This test is not intended to be used for self-testing.
