Implantable knee unloader
A sterile, implantable metallic device intended to reduce the load on the medial compartment of the knee for the treatment of degenerative articular cartilage (e.g., osteoarthritis) without any other alteration to the joint (i.e., no other arthroplasty or p...
Preformed vocal cord medialization implant
A solid, implantable device used for vocal cord medialization thyroplasty (removal of a "window" of cartilage from the outside of the voice box and replacing it with a prosthesis to push a paralyzed vocal cord toward the middle of the voice box) to treat pa...
Injectable vocal cord medialization implant, synthetic
An implantable synthetic material [e.g., calcium hydroxyapatite, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) -- commonly known as Teflon] designed as a space-occupying bulking agent to treat patients with unilateral vocal cord paralysis to improve voice quality. The dev...
Preformed vocal cord medialization implant
"A solid, implantable device used for vocal cord medialization thyroplasty (removal of a ""window"" of cartilage from the outside of the voice box and replacing it with a prosthesis to push a paralyzed vocal cord toward the middle of the voice box) to treat...
Vocal cord medialization implant injection needle
A rigid, sharp, bevel-edged, hollow, tubular metal instrument intended to be used for injection of a vocal cord medialization implant, in gel form, into the vocal cord without direct visualization. It is typically curved to enable navigation of the pharynx;...
Orthopaedic medialization instrument
A surgical instrument used to restore the anatomical and mechanical axes during orthopaedic correction osteotomies. It is typically designed as a robust block with a long, thin, adjusting rod running through its centre and an incremented measuring scale tha...
Vocal cord medialization implant needle
A rigid, sharp, bevel-edged, hollow, tubular metal instrument intended to be used for injection of a vocal cord medialization implant, in gel form, into the vocal cord without direct visualization. It is typically curved to enable navigation of the pharynx;...
Unicondylar knee prosthesis
A sterile artificial substitute for the bearing surface of only one femoral condyle and corresponding tibial condyle of the knee (medial or lateral condyle) implanted during primary or revision knee replacement. It typically consists of femoral and tibial c...
Orthopaedic rod reducer
A heavy-duty, hand-held manual surgical instrument intended to be used to reduce or seat an implantable rod into the saddle of an implant (i.e., bone screw, spinal hook) used as a component of a system to apply force to a series of vertebrae to correct scol...
Knee arthroplasty force sensor balance kit
A collection of non-sterile devices intended for use with a knee arthroplasty force sensor to measure forces acting across the joint to facilitate assessment of bone resection lines and size of prosthesis components to be implanted. It is intended to help a...
Bicompartmental knee prosthesis
A sterile implantable device designed to replace the patellofemoral and medial tibiofemoral articulating surfaces of a damaged/degenerative (e.g., arthritic) knee during primary or revision bicompartmental replacement of the joint; it is intended to permit ...
Electromechanical orthopaedic extracorporeal shock wave therapy system
An assembly of devices designed to provide electromechanical orthopaedic extracorporeal shock wave therapy (OEST) to treat musculoskeletal disorders. It is typically portable and includes a control unit that uses an electrical current to create kinetic ener...
Electromechanical orthopaedic extracorporeal shock wave/pneumatic pressure wave therapy system
An assembly of devices designed to provide electromechanical orthopaedic extracorporeal shock wave therapy (OEST) and pneumatic pressure wave therapy to treat musculoskeletal disorders. It is typically mobile and includes a control unit that uses both an el...
Orbital wall/rim prosthesis
An implantable ocular device used to reconstruct the orbital roof, floor, medial and/or lateral walls, and/or rim of the eye socket. It may be constructed of one of a variety of materials, or a combination, including stainless steel, titanium (Ti), titanium...
Intraoperative tumour margin analyser
A mains electricity (AC-powered) unit designed for tissue surface analysis and characterization using radio-frequency (RF) spectroscopy, to identify cancerous tissue at the cut-lines (margins) during a lumpectomy procedure. It includes RF spectroscopy hardw...
Nerve transcutaneous ultrasound ablation system
An assembly of devices intended to use high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) energy to create heat at controlled temperatures for noninvasive (transcutaneous) thermal ablation of neural tissue to treat chronic pain, typically through ablation of medial b...
Transcutaneous blood irradiation laser
A battery-powered wearable device designed to emit low-intensity laser light (e.g., wavelength of 650 nm) for the transcutaneous irradiation of blood and tissues to improve haemodynamic and metabolic parameters (e.g., increased blood oxygen capacity and red...
