A complete portable assembly of noninvasive, non-powered devices intended to be used as part of an extracorporeal bypass system to provide short-term or prolonged (i.e., extra-surgical) mechanical circulatory life support during extracorporeal membrane oxyg...
An assembly of sterile devices intended to be used in conjunction with manual compression to facilitate haemostasis to the puncture site on a patient having undergone femoral artery catheterization. It typically consists of a dedicated catheter with an elas...
A complete portable assembly of noninvasive, non-powered devices intended to be used as part of an extracorporeal bypass system to provide prolonged (i.e., extra-surgical) mechanical circulatory life support during extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)...
An assembly of devices designed to remove unwanted contaminants (bacteria, viruses, chemicals, dissolved substances) from water using osmotic pressure applied to one side of a selective membrane. The system removes ions, large molecules (e.g. proteins, gluc...
A mobile assembly of devices designed to apply a series of microsecond electrical pulses to tissue to produce irreversible cell membrane electroporation, a phenomenon that induces cell membrane pores to open resulting in loss of homeostasis and subsequent c...
An assembly of devices that non-invasively disintegrates stones (i.e., calculi) by sending focused shock waves from outside the body produced by an electromechanical generator. This generator contains a coil attached to a thin metallic membrane; a magnetic ...
An electrically-powered assembly of devices intended for large-area/whole-body massage using water jets but without wetting the patient. It includes a water tank with internal pump(s)/jets, a covering membrane which receives the water pressure, and controls...
An assembly of ophthalmic devices intended to deliver energy (e.g., ultrasonic, piezoelectric, pneumatic) through a dedicated hand-held instrument, which converts the energy into an oscillating-cutting action to remove (nibble away) vitreous humour (the jel...
An assembly of electrically-powered devices designed for the extracorporeal separation and removal of a constituent of whole blood (e.g., plasma, platelets, leukocytes) and pathogens, and the return of the remaining constituents to the patient. It typically...
An assembly of sterile devices intended to be used for the aspiration of air/fluid from the pleural cavity (potential space between the serous membranes covering the lungs) by means of suction. It includes a pleural catheter, a water seal (underwater) drain...
An assembly of devices intended to regulate a patient's body temperature by circulating a temperature-controlled fluid (e.g., saline solution) through a dedicated, closed-circuit catheter placed in the central venous system (CVS), to heat or cool the patien...
An assembly of devices designed to provide partial extracorporeal respiratory support to treat acute hypercapnic respiratory failure in settings where the patient may be moved while on therapy [e.g., intensive care unit (ICU), emergency room]. It is intende...
A mobile assembly of devices designed to provide spark-gap-generated orthopaedic extracorporeal shock wave therapy (OEST) to treat musculoskeletal disorders. It typically consists of a generator with two submerged electrodes that produce spark-gap (electroh...
A sterile implantable device intended to be used with a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) shunt assembly (e.g., ventriculoperitoneal shunt, lumboperitoneal shunt) for in-line shunt placement to filter particles by size to prevent transmission of cells when draining...
An assembly of devices intended to regulate a patient's body temperature by circulating a temperature-controlled fluid (e.g., saline solution) through a dedicated, closed-circuit catheter placed in the central venous system (CVS), to both heat and alternati...
A mobile assembly of devices designed to apply electrical impulses to the tissue to enable electroporation, a phenomenon that induces alteration in the structure of cell membranes to increase their permeability and allow molecules that usually cannot enter ...
