AutoBMD is a post-processing AI-powered software module intended to measure bone mineral density (BMD) from existing CT scans by averaging Hounsfield units in the trabecular region of vertebral bones. AutoBMD is not intended to replace DXA or other tests dedicated to BMD measurement. It is intended for retrospective or opportunistic assessment of bone density from CT scans acquired for other purposes and assessment of bone density without a phantom as an independent measurement procedure. The software provides bone mineral density measurements, including associated T-scores and Z-scores, for review by healthcare professionals.
